By now you are 2 months in to the new year – but have you gotten back on track since the summer holiday period? We all know that if we start the year off on the right foot then we are setting ourselves up for success – and there is still time! It is super important to get yourself in the right head space and this will shine through in all aspects of your life. Your positivity will improve your home life, your relationships, your working life and most of all your body and mind.
So how do you get back on track after the summer holiday period? My motto is – Be positive and set goals. This will allow you to be your best self. It is important to think about your short term goals for the year. What was your new year resolution? Remember to make your goals achievable. I would love to say that by the end of the month I want be a millionaire living in Paris with 4 children – but that is clearly not a goal that can be achieved realistically. The best way to goal set is by using the SMART goals method. SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Based. If you ensure all of your goals meet these criteria, then you know you are well on your way to setting targets that you can SMASH! Let’s do it Shakers!! So take a moment out of your busy day and write down a couple of goals that you would like to achieve in the next couple of months. Follow the SMART guidelines and stay positive. YOU can do anything!
So let’s get back on track and continue this year with a bang. Exercise at least three times a week – you know you only have to get your arse kicked for 30 minutes to be a better you! Remember to prep your meals each week – this will eliminate any last minute poor food choices that you may make. Spend time outdoors – time with your friends and family, play with your kids, walk your dog. Move every day. Sleep well. SMILE. This year is going to be a good one. Let’s Shake.
