Summer has ended and we have entered into the wonderful season of autumn – And now is the perfect time to ramp up your training. Why?? You may ask. Well there are many reasons that we can think of – read the article below and you can walk away with some great reasons to increase and enjoy your training this season to become a healthier you.
Weather!
Well the most obvious reason that autumn is THE month is that those sticky, hot mornings and nights are behind us. We can finally enjoy training in a comfortable environment and really give every session our all. This not only applies to The Shake UP sessions but also means that it is not too hot to go for a walk in our lunch break at work or to enjoy lots of time playing and exercising outdoors with our friends, families and fur babies J There really is no excuse to sit inside in front of the air con on these beautiful days!
No Crowds!
Finally we have no more holiday seeking crowds dawdling down our beautiful parkways, beaches, mountains and streets. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place that attracts visitors all summer but it is so nice to have some space and to get back to nature and discover our wonderful area. This is the perfect chance to fit in some extra training on the weekends and get the whole family involved. Go for a hike in Springfield National Park or up Mount Warning. Spend time on our beaches while the water is still warm and find adventures discovering new places in your spare time. Whether you are biking, hiking, paddling, surfing or climbing you can enjoy your weekend and then brag about it to The Shake UP community after!
Time!
All of a sudden – we have so much more time on our hands! No more summer parties and BBQs every weekend and the kids are well and truly settled back at school. This means you can finally squeeze that extra session in at The Shake UP during the week and then try new things on weekends.
Goals!
Having more time also means that you can focus more clearly on your goals. If it’s a cool, rainy day – don’t despair! Use the time that you could be exercising to focus on the goals you have set yourself for the year and improve your life!!! Turn off the TV, meditate – this year is going to be the best yet.
Food!
Around autumn time, veggies are getting cheaper as well as berries and other delicious, nutritious foods. You can start getting all those extra veggies into your diet in soups and roast veg; all of the delicious things that it has been too hot to eat for the last 4 months. We will bring some of our favourite autumn recipes to you on our website soon. Stay tuned!
Has this given you enough reason to ramp up your training over autumn? Don’t lose that bikini body that you’ve worked so hard for over the summer. Keep up your training and healthy eating and winter will be a breeze. Before you can blink we will be heading back into warmer weather and you will need to pull that bikini out again!
