Jay Noble, Shaker of the Month, March’16

Every session has those super athletic individuals who raise the bar and bring the entire session with them.                                                         Our March Shaker of the month, Jay Noble has become one of those people at the Shake UP Pacific Pines, who regularly lifts the energy at our sessions . Like many of our amazing members, Jay has a young family and a busy working life. When Jay joined our community he was a little out of shape but ready to give it everything he had. “Get ripped or die trying” has been Jay’s catch cry. A super humble bloke who is perpetually positive and has earned the respect of everyone he trains with. We recently caught up with Jay to chat about how good it feels to be mentally and physically fit and stress free!

So Jay, tell us a bit about yourself?

Well I am a married to my beautiful wife Renee. I am a father of two to Cooper (7) and Ella (5).  Renee has just begun coming down here to the Shake UP which is great. I love that we can both come down here with the kids. Um…What else? I recently changed jobs about 6 months ago. A real lifestyle change. I was in a position where I was working 24/7, missing out on important family time, pretty stressed out and  not finding the time to exercise enough. So I am really enjoying being able to come here, spend more time at home with the family and fishing all the time!

How long have you been training at The Shake UP?

Um…Must be about 8 months now. Loving it!

Why do you train Jay?

Just to stay on top of things really…physically and mentally. I like to feel like I am strong and fast. Its just great knowing what I am capable of.

What gets you through a session? What’s your motivator?

I just think, just go as hard as I can. I know the workouts are short and that I want to get the most out of the time I allocate to come down here. I kind of enjoy that uncomfortable place. I like to be challenged and I know I will always get that here.

What have you achieved since being here at the Shake UP?

Just have heaps more energy. That is the biggest improvement I have noticed in myself. I have changed physically. I am leaner and way stronger. I pay more attention to the other things though like the lower stress levels and I find I am just more level…more patient with the kids and things like that. Way less stressful!

What keeps you coming back to the Shake UP Jay?

 I know it works. That’s why I love coming down here. The people are great also. When I brought Renee down here, the girls like Kate, Amy and Millie really took Renee under their wings and made her feel super welcomed. That is such an awesome thing and I know stuff like that happens a lot here. Just a great place to be really!

Worst exercise?

Planking….I hate Planking! I don’t know why, its just a shit thing really
