Tracie Burgess, Shaker of the Month, December ’15

There is nothing more rewarding than working with the kind of people who really are willing to do what it takes to become their best, at training and in the kitchen!

We have recently completed our 10 Week Challenge and we are very fortunate to have so many successful participants. Tracie Burgess absolutely nailed it and for her hard work we are delighted to say that she is Our December Shaker of the Month! Its not easy to commit to 10 weeks of refraining from booze , journaling your eating habits and doing a regular ‘Shop and Chop’.
It really is reserved for those who truly want a better life with more confidence and more energy. This is exactly what Tracie found and it’s easy to see that there will be no stopping her from here!

We recently caught up with Trace to chat about her success these last few months.

So… tell us a bit about yourself Legend?Tracie Before-After

I’m 24 years old, I work as an office admin at JB Hi-fi am Mum to my furchild Austin the sausage dog and The Shake UP is probably my favourite thing to do.

How long have you been Shak’n?

I don’t know…Maybe about 12 months, maybe 18 months

What do you love about the Shake UP?

The people… Great people and that I know during the workout that it’s only going to suck for 25 minutes.

You have just completed our 10-week Challenge. Tell us about that?

I learnt how to cook great food. When I used to ‘diet’, it was always very bland – Chicken/Broccoli. Now I am enjoying making delicious, healthy food. I managed to nail a few of my performance goals like completing the 30 hill sprint workout and ramping up the beep test. All of that and I lost ‘the chub’…Ha…Ha! 25cm’s of chub was extracted! At the end of the Challenge I felt better than I have ever felt, mentally, physically, emotionally. Particularly now that Christmas is done I have a great understanding of how food effects everything. The challenge has seriously changed my life!

What are your goals from here?

Really I want to maintain what I have achieved and continue to push myself down here at training. I need to hang out with Amy, Millie and Kate more I reckon. They always kick my ass!

What’s the worst workout for you at the Shake UP?

Does it even need to be said? Burpees!

A very deserved winner of our Shaker of the month. We are stoked to have people like Tracie in our community and are very happy to say that she has scored herself an $50.00 coffee voucher from the very cool crew at Zarraffas Pacific Pines. A huge thanks to Felicia and the crew for the continued support to our community.
