Our lives are busier than they have ever been and it has become far too easy to use that as an excuse. Fat loss seems impossible! We eat junk because we are busy! We stay back at work and don’t exercise because there is just too much to be done. We prioritise our family’s needs above our own happiness because as an awesome parent, that’s what you do!
Life goes on and day by day the clothes begin to feel tighter,the shoulders rolls forward and we struggle to hold eye contact in social situations.
This is body confidence sliding out from under our feet and a reminder that we need to take responsibility for our own health and happiness!
The Shake UP 10 week challenge is so successful because it gives participants an opportunity to systematically introduce the kind of habits that breed self – confidence.
Over the years we have enjoyed watching many people go from overweight and dispirited to self-assured, in 10 short weeks. In this blog we’d like to share with you, what we have noticed in all of the greatest success stories.
3 tips for more fat loss & confidence in 10 weeks:
1. Find the right environment to make it happen:
Great change is tough and when the going gets tough, it pays to be surrounded by people who will help pick you up when you are down. Spend 10 weeks only spending time with people who will help keep you accountable and inspire you towards your goals.
2.Eliminate the foods that are making you fat!
If you want to strip some body fat, you have to identify the foods that are holding you back! In the 1st week of our 10 week Challenge, we focus on eliminating the foods that are causing inflammation and making us fat! Fat loss begins by understanding the role that fats play in your diet! Our bodies cannot produce Essential Fatty Acids, so they must be obtained through our diet. These are the Omega 3’s and 6’s. For lasting fat loss, the best thing that you can do is eat more foods that are high in Omega 3’s (Leafy greens, flax seeds, chia seeds) and restrict the foods that are high in omega 6’s (processed foods, packaged foods). This will improve your omega 3 to omega 6 ratios which means less inflammation and closer to the body of your dreams!
3.Help someone else reach their goals:
There is something so powerful about helping someone reach their goal and sharing their journey. We believe this is a key success factor in our 10 week challenge, so we aim to create a team dynamic that cultivates support. Over the years we have witnessed so many selfless acts of kindness that change people’s lives forever! Take a friend a meal, give them a call when you know they are struggling, go out of your way to train with them. This 10 weeks is all about you and your goals but we guarantee the results will last longer if you make it your mission to influence others to their best at the same time!
